Rhian has it again. Or is that still? I'm not sure anymore.
And this time seems different. She is actually acting sick.
Normally she sports a fever of 38.8 or so and is still playing and happy and acting like my baby. When I was told by our doctor to take her into emergency (where they did chest x-rays and found pneumonia) she wrote a note to the emerg. intake to tell them that she really was sick - and to be sure to check her, even though she doesn't seem like it.
The pediatrician in emergency couldn't believe the spirits she was in given the pneumonia and the raging bi-lateral ear infection. She said most babies would be screaming. Constantly.
Not little Rhian. She is smiley and takes it like a trooper.
Today though is different. She is sleepy, groggy and only wants to sleep. She slept an extra 2 hours in the morning, most of the afternoon, and at 6:30 PM was in bed for the night. I hope the sleep helps and she is more herself tomorrow.
This is getting old. And I'm out of ideas.

I hope she feels better real soon--could be a combination of several things. Her little body knows best though, I'm sure the sleep will help. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry Rhian is not feeling well again - and really not feeling well at all this time. Sleep is a wonderful thing - and maybe exactly what she needs to fight off whatever bug she has.

I'm with you, darling. Totally with you. Everyone tells me it gets better by age 2. My light at the end of the tunnel is summer break. At this time, we will hide in our house....away from germ infested children. Ugh.
